Well, that didn't take long. One day after claiming the Daily Duel championship, Casey James and his song 'Crying on a Suitcase' gets dethroned by 'Better in a Black Dress', the new song from Katie Armiger. She took 59% of the vote and now will take on the latest from Chris Cagle.

Call it the American Idol effect. Casey James and his song 'Crying on a Suitcase' is our new champion on Danny's Daily Duel.  This after getting over 80% of the vote in the last Duel over reigning champion  Hank Williams Jr . Today, James will take on Houston-area native Katie Armiger.

In the last few hours of voting in our last Daily Duel, hundreds of votes poured into our website.  Many of those votes were for the new song from Trace Adkins, however, the majority of those votes went for Hank Williams Jr. and with 58% of the vote, Bocephus continues on tries for his fifth straight win on the Daily Duel. Our challenger today is Casey James and his song 'Crying on a Suitcase'.  

On Wednesday, Texas native and 2010 ‘American Idol‘ finalist Casey James made an appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ to perform the lead single from his self-titled debut, which just dropped March 20. Performing ‘Let’s Don’t Call It a Night’ for the studio and television audiences, James seemed quite relaxed and natural wielding his electric guitar with his band.

As it begins to heat up outside and the snow and ice turn to green grass and fresh blooms, artists will churn out new country music releases for March 2012 faster than you can say “bring on spring break!”
