With the latest installment of the franchise, Halloween Ends, about to slash its way into theaters on October 14, why not revisit how it all started?

The movie was pushed back to prevent a “compromised theatrical experience.”

And Jamie Lee Curtis is expected to return.

John Carpenter's horror classic will play Halloween night at Liberty Hall in Tyler.

This week we have a lot of the movies that were in theaters last summer that I didn't slow down enough to go and watch.  This weekend is going to rock with entertainment even if you only get a couple of these DVDs -- more after the jump.
