Residents in the town of Clarksville City can resume normal water usage, but City Manager Billy Silvertooth is asking people to still be conservative when watering outdoors.

Wednesday night vandals opened a fire hydrant draining the system of more than 300,000 gallons of water, leaving only 100,000 gallons of water in the tank.

Silvertooth is calling the vandalism a “Terrorist Threat on a Public Water System”. No arrest have been made at this time.

Clarksville City is located west of Longview in Gregg County.
