Federal Aviation Administration authorities say four people have died in the crash of a small plane that went down in East Texas after it departed from a regional airport near Roanoke.

Authorities identify two teenagers and two adults who died in the crash. Brothers 17-year-old Paul and 13-year-old Mason Ledet of Southlake were aboard the small plane with their father, Dr. Leonard Ledet, and uncle Gregory Ledet of Keller.

The family was en-route to Clarksdale, Miss., with a scheduled fuel stop in Athens. An FAA spokeswoman says the Beechcraft Bonanza took off Saturday morning from the Northwest Regional Airport near Roanoke and went down near the Van Zandt-Kaufman County line.

DPS found the wreckage Saturday night in a pasture off of County Road 2702 at Farm-to-Market Road 90.

The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
