Swamp People’s Mitchell Guist Dies in Monday Morning Accident
A sad day for the History Channel's 'Swamp People' cast, crew, family and fans. WAFB in Baton Rouge, La., reports that Mitchell Guist was pronounced dead Monday morning at Teche Regional Hospital in Morgan City.
According to the story, the 'Swamp People' cast member was loading something onto a boat around 9 a.m. along the Belle River when he slipped and fell.
The report quotes the local sheriff as believing Guist suffered some sort of seizure, and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
