Adrian Peterson Day is Saturday

The tenth annual Adrian Peterson Day is Saturday in Palestine.

Peterson was born in Palestine and starred on the football team. Which, by the way, he didn't start playing for until his junior year, rushing 246 times for 2,051 yards.

He went on to star at Oklahoma then drafted by the Vikings in 2007.

Saturday will start with a parade through downtown Palestine at 10 A.M.

Activities will continue at Reagan Park with a "So You Think you Can Dance", competition with Peterson as one of the judges, along with music and other events.

Food vendors will be available but you are welcome to bring items for a picnic if you like.
