Austin Airport Identifies 12 Cities for Possible Nonstop Flights
(KNUE-FM) As someone who lives in Texas and loves to travel, I love that. According to KXAN, the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has identified 12 international cities that they classify as “priority markets” for new nonstop service.
While I haven’t traveled out of the Austin airport yet, but with new flights coming, I may start traveling out of it more. We are very fortunate in Texas to have so many airports that will take us anywhere in the world we want to go.

Austin Airport Identifies 12 Priority Cities
I’m sure you’re interested in knowing what cities have been identified as the new ‘priority markets. They include Bogotá, Dubai, Dublin, Guadalajara, Istanbul, Lima, Montego Bay, Paris, Reykjavík, San Jose, Seoul and Tokyo.
The Austin-Bergstrom Airport already offers nonstop service to 13 international destinations and a new flight to Grand Cayman is set to begin in May 2026.

Growing International Travel Demand in Central Texas
There are several factors that led to these destinations being named priority markets including the significant growth in Asian-owned businesses and the Asian community in Central Texas. This has led to a heavier demand for nonstop flights to the region.
Austin Airport Offering Incentives to Airlines
The airport offers incentives to airlines who bring new service, including assisting with marketing costs and waiving certain fees. The current incentives include up to $500,000 in marketing over a two-year period. It’s believed that the incentive program is currently undergoing its regularly scheduled five-year update.
