Vaping in Texas Schools So Bad Bathroom Doors are Being Removed
11Could you imagine being a Texas teenager again, being in school, needing to use the bathroom, but there are no doors to enter the bathroom? This seems like some sort of invasion of privacy, although there is a school in Texas that says that it’s needed.
The first instance of this happening took place in Boerne, Texas at Boerne-Samuel V. Champion High School. Where according to My San Antonio, the vaping has gotten so bad that taking bathroom doors off the hinges seems to be the best course of action.
More Action to Stop Vaping in Texas High Schools
Most high schools across Texas are dealing with issues of students vaping even though it’s illegal. There are students being suspended for smoking, and if they’re caught with a THC or marijuana pen that can result in serious criminal charges.
We know that smoking in high school bathrooms has been happening for decades. School staff will monitor the bathrooms in between classes, but students will always try to pull a fast one if they think no one is paying attention.
Students Not Happy About No Doors on Bathrooms
As you would imaging students, especially female students are not happy about bathroom doors being removed. This would just be the doors to enter and exit, not the doors to bathroom stalls.

But ladies are saying that people nearby can hear them using the bathroom. This leads to discomfort and difficulty focusing in class.
We would love to know your thoughts. Do you think that removing the bathroom doors is the best way to stop vaping in school?
