(KNUE-FM) We all know there are some great people living here in Texas. It’s our friends, family and neighbors that make Texas the amazing place that we all call home. But it’s seems like over the years we don’t talk to our neighbors as much anymore, mostly because we’re all so busy with keeping up with our own lives. But we need to strengthen these relationships, and I have some compliments that will help make that happen.

Years Ago, We Spent Time with Our Neighbors in Texas

When I was growing up it was common for parents to see neighbors outside, start up a conversation, and spend an hour chatting about life, work, and plans to make our homes or landscaping better. There would be summer BBQ’s where neighbors would get together but that doesn’t seem to happen much anymore.

Check on Your Neighbors and Let Them Know You Care

Back in the day it was no big deal to knock on a neighbor's door if you needed to borrow a few eggs for a recipe you were working on. But now it seems like people would much rather order something online and have it delivered hours later instead of knocking on a neighbor's door.

We need to stop avoiding interaction with people.
