Here’s Where Folks Say You Find the Best Steaks in Longview, TX
A lot of folks believe they can judge a person by the way they order a steak. But I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. After all, normally all it usually takes for a well-doner to make the switch is trying medium-rare once. But where can you find the best steaks in Longview, TX?
Ok, so there was a time in my life that I'd order my steak well done, I'm ashamed, but it's true. I still remember the day my life changed forever, it's so clear to me still after all this time. I was in the Army out to eat with a few buddies in Germany, and I ordered my steak well done. The table gasped.
But to their credit, no one mocked me. They could've, but not one of them did.
It was at that moment that one of my friends casually suggested, "Man, just try it medium-rare. You don't know what you're missing out on."
There was no belittling, no judgement passed on my manhood, just a suggestion to try it another way. You know, I hate to think where I'd be had he not been so kind. I might've double-downed on well-done. My life could have gone down a dark, dark path.
That was about 20 years ago, and I'm proud to say that I've been well-done-free ever since. Also, I enjoy steak so much more too.
So when it comes to steak cuts, aside from how you cook it, there are still a lot of choices: Ribeye Steak, Tenderloin Steak aka Filet Mignon, Strip Steak, Hanger Steak, Porterhouse / T-Bone Steak, Flank Steak, Skirt Steak, Short Ribs.
I like it good ribeye or T-bone, my wife tends to go with a filet. But where do you go to order your steak, regardless of cut, when you're in Longview, TX. The folks on the All Things Longview Facebook had some great suggestions, and if you're curious where the best steaks are, here's where they suggest you start:
