We have to raise a glass to Blake Shelton today, as he just hit No. 1 with his single ‘Drink on It,’ marking the ACM and CMA Male Vocalist of the Year’s sixth consecutive No. 1 single. The song is Shelton’s 11th ever to hit No.1 on the charts.

In addition to watching his single make its way up the list, Shelton recently saw the end of his majorly successful Well Lit & Amplified Tour. But just because he’s off the road and on the charts doesn’t mean the country star can sit back and relax for a minute or two. No, Shelton is still facing one of his biggest challenges to date as a celebrity coach on NBC’s hit show ‘The Voice.’ In addition to performing with his team tonight, he also has to pick one of his four remaining team members to send home.

Each of his team members — currently narrowed down to Erin WillettJermaine PaulRaeLynn and Jordis Unga — will have a chance to sing for their judge in hopes of escaping the ax. At least the ‘Honey Bee’ hitmaker got a bit of good news today with his No. 1 single that will hopefully help settle his churning stomach when he has to announce his decision tonight.

It seems Shelton is getting amped up about his place on the charts. In a press release about his big hit, he let his excitement really come through.

“I really couldn’t be happier about this one y’all,” he said. “Bob Reeves and the WMN team, you beat the odds and won the game, and country radio, you are my brothers and sisters…I love you. Thanks so much for always supporting my country a–. Now, let’s Drink On It!”
