Bring the Heat Jalapeno Eating Contest Could Win You Free Whataburger for a Year
We like our spicy in Texas and Whataburger knows that considering they have spicy ketchup, spicy strawberry jam, their newest chorizo burger on the menu and oh so many other options to make your mouth tingle. But do you like 'spicy' enough to participate in a jalapeno pepper eating contest? Specifically how many one person can eat in 60 seconds.
Guinness World Records says the most anyone has ever eaten in 60 seconds is 16 by Alfredo Hernandes in Chicago back in 2006. Come on, someone can beat that!
On Thursday, November 9, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm - teams from East Texas Baptist University and LeTourneau University will have a friendly, yet hot competition in Hallsville at Whataburger's Bring the Heat Competition.
So maybe you can't participate in the competition, but you can still win big if you show up and cheer for one of the teams. There will be a $250 Whataburger Basket up for grabs and one lucky spectator in attendance will win free Whataburger for a year! Plus there will be swag, coupons and promotional items to dole out as well.
The two schools competing will have a chance to win up to $1,500 as a donation to their school's athletic program. Remember, you can cheer on and win stuff too, so come out to 602 West Main Street, Hallsville, TX, 75650.
We had this in Tyler event in Tyler with East Texas Food Bank and Salvation Army.
