The 2019 Country Music Association Awards are coming up this Wednesday night (November 13). East Texans Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and Cody Johnson will give our part of this great state some great representation this year in some categories.

Let's start with Lindale native Miranda Lambert. She has a nomination in the Female Vocalist of the Year category. This is her 13th nomination in the category, winning seven times. She has also won CMA Album of the Year twice. Her most recent album, Wildcard, will probably take home that trophy next year.

Next is Golden native Kacey Musgraves. She has nominations in the Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year categories. This will be Kacey's fifth nomination in the Female Vocalist of the Year category. She has taken home trophy's for New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

Huntsville native Cody Johnson makes his debut at the CMA Awards. He is nominated in the New Artist of the Year category. However, that's only because he's new to Nashville. In Texas, Cody has been a favorite for many years. I'm biased but Cody should be the easy choice to take this award home.

You can find out who wins in each category Wednesday night (November 13) starting at 7 p.m. You can listen to the CMA Awards on 101.5 KNUE or watch them on KLTV.
