Shocking Attack On a Texas County Commissioner

Denton County Commissioner will forever remember one of the most tragic and terrifying days of her life that ended her husband's life and sent her to the hospital.

Denton County Commissioner, Bobbie Mitchell, is recovering in the hospital after she and her husband, Fred Mitchell, were stabbed in their home early Monday morning in Lewisville, Texas.

According to Lewisville police, officers responded to a 911 call around 3:50 a.m. on April 21, reporting an assault in progress.

When they arrived, they found both Bobbie and Fred with stab wounds. They were transported to a nearby hospital, where Fred was pronounced dead shortly after 5 a.m. Bobbie Mitchell remains in stable condition, officials confirmed.

Grandson Accused in Fatal Attack

The suspect in the attack is the couple’s 23-year-old grandson, Mitchell Blake Reinacher. He was taken into custody at the scene and is now facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to online court records.

As of now, police haven’t released details about a possible motive, and the investigation is ongoing.
