(KNUE-FM) It’s crazy to think that another school year will be starting in a few weeks. I know that kids all over East Texas don’t want to hear that but it’s reality. Parents will soon have their kids learning in a classroom, but some kids are more worried about what is for lunch.

Lunch is Important for Learning

While I don’t have kids myself and have never had to make school lunches for a child, I still understand how important it is that they have nutritious food during their school day. It’s hard to pay attention and stay engaged in learning if you’re hungry.

Sometimes it can be difficult to know what kids are going to eat. Most parents have had a time or two where your child didn’t want what was made for dinner. My parents always said that you will eat what is prepared, or you will go hungry.
