According to Yahoo.com Lifestyle, Willie recently told Southern Living that his favorite breakfast was not Ham, Eggs, and Southern-style biscuits. Willie Nelson enjoys Oatmeal each morning.

"If you want to know the truth about all I eat is oatmeal in the morning,"

Willie says he stays on the lighter side in the mornings but will eat bacon and eggs at dinner time. He said he usually eats Oatmeal at home rather than on the road eating in restaurants.

In the 2000s, Willie Nelson owned a restaurant in Austin called Wille Nelson's Lighthouse. The restaurant served an all-day breakfast item called "Willie's Breakfast." According to the menu, his standard breakfast order included biscuits and gravy, two eggs fried in leftover bacon grease, and fruit— it did not include Oatmeal.

Why does Willie prefer something as basic as Oatmeal? Aside from the apparent reason—that he likes how it tastes—he doesn't have a big appetite. Aside from Oatmeal, he has the most room for "an egg or two and a waffle, maybe." He also shared that he likes toast and Orgain plant-based protein shakes.

It makes sense. Oatmeal has many benefits, like being high in fiber and slow-release carbohydrates that give you energy throughout the day. I don't know about you, but I think I will give Willie's breakfast choice a try,
