Carhartt To Open A Shop In Tyler’s Village At Cumberland Park

The one thing that there is plenty of in Tyler, Texas is retail space. With so much empty retail space available you would think developers would stop building new shopping centers, but that's just not the case. Big brand businesses are looking to move here and open shop including the national brand Carhartt.

Carhartt has been looking to open a retail location in the Tyler market and now it looks like this opening is closer to happening. The workwear retailer was recently approved with a commercial permit by the City of Tyler for a construction permit for a storefront in The Village At Cumberland Park at 8916 S. Broadway Avenue in Tyler. (CBS19)

Carhartt is a workwear and outdoor clothing brand catering to those that need durable workwear and essentials. From shirts and jeans to casual wear to steel-toe work boots and outerwear to hoodies, scrubs, and more.

Isn't Carhartt already sold here?

The simple answer is yes. The brand can be obtained by shopping retailers like Boot Barn, Cavender's, Academy, Tractor Supply Co., and others. With the opening of this store, it's nothing but Carhartt for brand enthusiasts.

Once complete, the Carhartt store will join Old Navy, Burlington, Ross, TJ Maxx, and other major brands in The Village At Cumberland Park. It was also announced last week that a new sports-themed retailer, Rally House would be opening up this fall in the shopping center too.

The Village At Cumberland Park has been going through some changes lately with some big-name retailers closing their doors. Stores like Nike, Bed Bath & Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, and Forever 21. It's good to see that new businesses will soon occupy these empty stores.
