14 Tyler Area Restaurants Had Issues With Their Latest Inspection
Every single restaurant in East Texas has one mission in common - to serve up the best quality meal it can to the customers who place an order at their counter, drive-up window, or with a member of their wait staff. They do not want to harm the public with their products.
From time to time restaurants get slammed and they fall behind on some pretty basic things sometimes they need to be reminded of these things because if gone unchecked it could end up hurting their customers and the quality of the product that they work so hard to put out.
Enter NET Health inspectors. Their job is to inspect restaurants, mobile food establishments, schools, jails, nursing homes, and other places that are preparing and serving food to the public around Tyler, Texas, and throughout Smith County to make sure they are in compliance with established best practices, protocols, and health requirements.
It is never the intention of any inspector to go in and shut a place down based on the cleanliness of the restaurant. But that does happen on occasion.
The goal of the inspection is to make sure the establishment that is preparing, holding, and serving food does it in a manner so that there is no danger to the public when consuming their food. During the inspections, inspectors also make sure the management and employees are following established guidelines when it comes to cleaning, facility maintenance, personnel training, food storage, and many other things.
The majority of the inspections are simply routine. The inspector may find a couple of violations but nothing that harms the public and the restaurant or establishment can easily and quickly address the problem.
However, some places need some more attention and possibly a follow-up inspection.
