Brace yourselves, America: According to Triple-A, Nearly 80 million people are gearing up to travel this Thanksgiving. That’s up from last year’s 78 million, making this the busiest holiday travel season ever.  

Before we breakdown the details, a traveling pro-tip would be that If you want to avoid traffic altogether, travel on Thanksgiving Day.

Sounds weird, I know, but if it’s possible head out early Thanksgiving because the roads are typically clear as everyone’s either already at Grandma’s or too busy prepping for the big meal.
