Johnny Cace’s Planning a Return to Longview

Chelsea and Cathy Cace are planning on bringing back Johnny Cace's to Longview.

They will open a takeout eatery that will feature crab and shrimp gumbo, crawfish etouffee and more choices.

"We are working on it, but we don't have a place (yet)," Chelsea Cace told the Longview News Journal.

They have run into a snag as the person they were planning on leasing from passed away.

The new restaurant will be called The Cace Kitchen and is planned to be opened by Christmas.

Initial plans are for Chelsea and Cathy to prepare the food themselves but plan to add a few employees after opening.
