Every once in a while an artist comes around that makes ya go "wow." That's how it is with country artist Tyler Farr. His debut album, "Redneck Crazy," is getting a lot of notice. In fact, the title track went No. 1. His latest single, "Whiskey In My Water," is climbing quickly on the country charts now.

Growing up, Tyler loved the outdoors and even considered a career in wildlife management or as a game warden, but his love for entertainment was stronger. So, Tyler set out to be in the music business.

His mother married George Jone's guitarist, DeWayne Phillips, so he was exposed to all the great country msuic and artists, such as George Jones, Lefty Frizzel, Vern Gosdin and even Elvis. Phillips recognized Tyler’s singing ability and took him to Nashville to record some songs. The rest, they say, is history!

Tyler Farr will be one of many country artists performing at this year's Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain Resort in New York.
