
East Texas Man Wanted After Ex-Girlfriend Escapes Kidnapping
A man is wanted by authorities after an alleged kidnapping in Marshall, Texas before leaving the state headed to Louisiana.
What Police Say Happened in Marshall
According to a Facebook post from the Marshall Police Department, there was a call to dispatch requesting a welfare check at a location on the 1300 block of East Pinecrest Drive around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6. Officers responded to the call and met a woman who reported that she had just been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend.
Officers quickly determined the woman escaped from her ex-boyfriend who had already fled the scene. The ex-boyfriend was identified as Jamichael Brown.

Multi-Agency Search Extends Into Louisiana
Law enforcement began looking for Brown and his vehicle which was later found abandoned in Greenwood, LA. Officers from the Marshall Police Department, Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, Waskom Police Department, Greenwood Police Department and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office worked together to search the area for Brown but he wasn’t located.

Charges and Warrants Facing Jamichael Brown
Brown is wanted for prior warrants on charges of violation of bond conditions and assault of a pregnant person, along with a new warrant for aggravated kidnapping, which was secured by Marshall PD over the weekend.
Law enforcement wants to remind everyone that Brown should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If you do see him, call 911 or local law enforcement immediately.
