The Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler, Texas has lowered the adoption fee for this week's Pet Of The Week. This month Mackie is available to be adopted for only $40.

This brown and black 4-year-old hound mix is ready for a place to call his own. A place where he can become familiar with and bond with an owner(s) and give them some great dog love.

Mackie is looking for a place to let loose and be a dog and he loves all kinds of games, but most importantly, he's looking for a best friend to play with. Mackie may be extremely shy at first due to some trust issues, but once he spends some time with you and gets to know you and your scent he'll go into full-on play mode.

Mackie's adoption fee is being reduced this month from $175 to $40. Mackie will go home with a starter kit of food, a big fluffy dog bed, a collar and leash, and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.

Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas.
