We take it for granted that what's in the packages we buy at the stores is what's actually in the package when we get it home. A California man recently bought a package of Asian noodles and discovered the packing company included plastic noodles in the bag along with the real thing.

Personally, I think the FDA dropped the ball  - bigtime - on the steroid injections contaminated with meningitis. So when I read the story about them picking on the Avon lady, (my take on it) I got pretty angry.

Flu vaccines have always been dreaded by those who hate shots, but this year a company called PharmaJet introduced a device that uses “a high-pressure steam of liquid to pierce the skin and deliver the vaccine.” The needle-phobics rejoiced. But now the FDA is saying, Not so fast.
