It's more about giving than receiving for a lot of people during the Christmas holidays. Seeing the joy on a kids face when they receive a gift and the excitement that they have when they get to open that gift is all the payment a lot of people need.

Dear Santa: Remember, about 40 years ago when I asked for a 'Big Wheels'?  I'd like another one, please, except can I get this model?  I've attached a video.

This hilarious video shows the Seattle Seahawks using Toys r Us toys to train for the upcoming football season. Though this is not necessarily true, it brings great laughs. Imagine if slip and slides and Tonka trucks were a part of every pro teams training camp.

Do you remember when you were a kid and you wanted something so bad, you would think about it night and day? That bicycle, BB gun, Barbie dream house or whatever you coveted, consumed your entire life.

When asked what my favorite Christmas gift I received as a child, I responded with "any and all board games!" Board games were really popular when I was a kid in the '70s. Yes, I said the '70s.

With Christmas coming soon, parents will be headed to the stores to buy that hot new toy that secures them as the coolest parent in their child's eyes. But, the hot toy of the season changes every year. What was popular when I was a child is completely different to the high tech gifts of today.

Black Friday is just a few days away and stores are preparing for the estimated 86 million shoppers who will be coming through their doors. Are you sure you want to get in the middle of all that!?

Who could forget the news of toys stolen from a warehouse used by the  Gregg County Child Welfare board, that were intended to go to local foster children. So sad! But East Texans are not taking this lying down.  The Longview Fire department is hosting a toy drive this weekend at Longview Mall Parking Lot from 9AM to 5PM to replace those stolen toys!

Remember as a kid how simple, yet fun the toys were? Before video games, computers and high tech. When riding bikes and using your imagination was all you had. I think those days were the best! This got me reminiscing on some of my favorite "old fashioned" if you want to call it that, toys...
