Do you remember when you were a kid and you wanted something so bad, you would think about it night and day? That bicycle, BB gun, Barbie dream house or whatever you coveted, consumed your entire life. That describes this little boy who, at first site, fell in love with the Emerald Train Lego set. James Groocia is a 10-year-old boy who suffers from Aspberger Syndrome and loves to play with Legos. In fact, his mother says James is "obsessed" with Legos.

James and his parents decided that James should work and save his money to pay for, in his eyes, the ultimate Lego set. He worked hard and even saved his birthday money for two years in order to buy the $100 Lego set.

Great right? Then can you imagine James' disappointment  when he learned that the set he dearly wanted, was no longer being made?

When I read this story, it flooded my memories when I was a "wide-eyed" kid. I felt those same feelings as this little boy, wanting something so bad and thinking I couldn't live without it. I remember wanting this one pair of jeans that all the other girls at school were wearing.

I didn't know it then, but looking back, I realize those jeans were probably too expensive for my folks to buy. At the time, my folks were starting up their own business, taking care of four kids, and I'm sure, dealing with bills. I got those jeans.

I look back on those days now, and realize that my parents sacrificed to get me those jeans. Now that I'm a mother, I can see all the things that my parents did for me and I love them dearly!
