(KNUE-FM) In Texas, working hard is just what we do. Which means we can put more stress on our body as we are working toward getting a job done. Most of us don’t think about the stress we put on our bodies until we get home, try to relax, and realize how sore we’ll be the next day.

But making sure your body gets some rest is so important, which is why I wanted to discuss some tips to make sure you’re getting a good night’s sleep.

Why Rest Matters More Than You Think

Growing up, most of us ran away when we heard it was nap time, but as adults we would be willing to pay money if we could sneak a nap into our workday. Unfortunately, we live in a very fast-paced world that expects results now, so we don’t have a choice to slow down, we just need to keep making progress. But I have noticed as I started getting a little older that you must take care of your body or else it will shut down on you.
