
Tyler Roofer Accused Of $64K Overcharge for Unneeded Repairs
(Tyler, Texas) In Texas there are people that tell the truth and there are liars, there are people you can trust and others that will try to scam you.
The sad news is recently in Tyler, Texas there was one roofer that is accused of tricking an elderly woman into paying huge amounts of money for roofing repairs that she never needed in the first place.

How Did the Elderly Woman Get Tricked?
In East Texas there are storms that roll through regularly so it’s common to have roofing repair companies that reach out to you asking if you want an inspection done on your home.
According to KLTV, 32-year-old Levy Aaron Lee from Van, Texas is accused of tricking a 71-year-old woman into paying $64,000 for roof repairs.
Lee and a co-conspirator charged the elderly woman four times what a new roof would cost to repair damages that were caused by Lee and his accomplice.
The woman handed over a total of six checks in addition to $14,000 in cash.

They Caused the Damage to the Roof
The men originally claimed the roof was unstable.
Although a third-party contractor assessed the roof and even testified that the repairs were never needed in the first place, and that $64,000 would cover the cost of four new roofs to be purchased.
Suspect Arrested and Still Behind Bars
Lee was arrested on April 9th by Smith County Sheriff’s on charges of financial abuse of the elderly >=30K<$150K.
