Just go ahead and pin that rose on our nose. A huge congratulations to Visit Tyler, The Rose City's tourism board, for bringing home the “People’s Choice Idea Fair Award” for Best Video at the 2018 Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau (TACVB) Annual Conference.

The video follows a family around their adventures in Tyler in a fun and artsy way. It was created in cooperation with Center for Creative Media located in Tyler. The “People’s Choice” competition allows tourism industry peers to weigh in on their favorites. And with a record 75 entries this year Visit Tyler's competition was stiff.

"It is such an honor to be recognized as one of the leading destination marketing organizations within the industry,” Shari Lee, Visit Tyler President said. “Through award-winning programs like these, we hope to better serve visitors as well as share Tyler’s story.”

Each year, tourists spend almost $300 million in the Tyler community. The tourism industry directly employs more than 3,000 people in Tyler. Visit Tyler is the destination marketing arm of Tyler. The staff works hard year-round promoting Tyler as a tourist destination to leisure, group, business, and sports travelers.
