Forget the fancy hotels when you're vacationing this summer, just stay in a potato. Well, if your travels will take you to Boise, Idaho, that is.

Yes, you can reserve a few nights inside a potato through Airbnb, according to It's called the Big Idaho Potato Hotel and was created by tiny home builder Kristie Wolfe.

The potato came from the Idaho Potato Commission who used the 28 foot long, 11.5 foot tall potato to help celebrate it's 75th anniversary. After the one year tour, the potato was retired.

That's when Wolfe jumped in and created the energy efficient, air conditioned, somewhat spacious, nightly stay.

The Idaho Potato Commission is all about the Big Idaho Potato Hotel. Their President and CEO, Frank Muir, said, "When Kristie presented her vision for the potato, the IPC unanimously agreed to donate it to her. Based on the success of her other tiny houses we had no doubt the Big Idaho Potato Hotel could eventually become one of the biggest attractions in Idaho, further promoting the state's most important agricultural commodity."

So there you go. If you're looking for a unique vacation idea, book a stay at the Big Idaho Potato Hotel in Boise, Idaho through Airbnb.
