You may recall the story of Aaron Watson and Layla Evetts. Layla has been diagnosed with a form of brain cancer titled DIPG, and the two met last year at the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo in Waco. Their story continued, and KWTX was on hand, as Watson surprised Layla and her twin sister Rayleigh for their 7th birthday.

“The first time I met her, she ran and… jumped into my arms and… told me she loved me,” said Watson.

"There are just some personalities and some people that automatically click and that is what Aaron and Layla did that night," says Layla's mother Amanda Perry

While at the party, Watson, his daughter Jolee Kate, and the Evetts sisters took part in the #LemonFaceChallenge, a social media challenge aimed to spread awareness about DIPG. To learn more about the #LemonFaceChallenge and how to donate, click here.
