Cajun Navy Volunteer Reportedly Shot At While Trying to Save Victims

In a very recent interview with a member of the Cajun Navy Clyde Cain - who gained notoriety during his rescue missions during Katrina - told reporter Carol Costello that some places are too dangerous to save people because they were reportedly shot at when they ran out of room for people in their boats.

We will continue to follow this story, hoping it is just a rumor, because these guys are here to help us, not hurt us - and they're doing they're absolute best. CNN also reported the same story, quoting Cain:

We have boats being shot at if we're not picking everybody up. We're having to pull out for a minute. We're dropping an air boat right now to go rescue a couple of our boats that broke, and they're kind of under attack.

He acknowledges that people are panicking and just want to be saved, but it's making it very difficult to do so under these conditions.

There have even been reports of people trying to steal boats as well. More on this story as it unfolds.
