Cocaine Found on Texas Beach Near Galveston

(Galveston, Texas) I’m sure there are some angry drug dealers this morning after hearing that packages of cocaine recently washed up on a Texas beach.

While it sounds like something off a movie or television show, it was the reality that law enforcement officers were dealing, they even posted to social media about the drugs.

How Did Packages of Cocaine End Up on the Texas Beach?

It was the City of Jamaica Beach that took to social media about discovering the illegal drugs along the shoreline.

Although, it didn’t seem like they were too shocked to see the drugs popping up after there was a raid that took place on a ship offshore.

The Raid Was the Reason for the Drugs

According to My San Antonio, as law enforcement approached the ship offshore there were crew members who started dumping large amounts of cocaine overboard which is how it ended up washing up on the Texas beach.

There was no mention as to how much cocaine was found or what happened to the members of the ship after the raid took place.

Police Warn Other Packages Might Still Be Hidden

If anyone finds any of the cocaine packages they are being asked to call the Jamaica Beach Police Department.

There have been multiple instances like this in the past when drug smugglers are trying to dump their drugs in the water as a way of avoiding charges.

Although, if law enforcement is already that close there is very little chance of criminals getting away.

Let this be a lesson for any drug dealers attempting to move product in Texas.

Stop immediately, you will be caught, and there will be harsh consequences.
