According to the Tyler Morning Telegraph, the driver drove through barricades and left eighth to a quarter inch deep tread marks in freshly poured concrete.

City officials said the damage is repairable by being buffed out and re-grated but the tire marks will be permanent.

If the damage had been worse, the concrete would have to be torn up and re-poured, costing almost $29,000 and setting back construction by 5 days.

The person responsible could face a third-degree felony criminal mischief charge.
