Last Friday, the East Texas Food Bank handed out boxes of essential pantry items to make 16 meals to folks in need in East Texas. No identification was required but you did have to provide your name and address.

Well, the East Texas Food Bank will make this a weekly time of giving according to KLTV. Those boxes containing dried beans, rice, pasta, canned meat, fruits and vegetables that can make sixteen meals, will be passed out each Friday at 10 a.m.

If you, or someone you know, is in need of one of these boxes, just be at the East Texas State Fairgrounds at 10 a.m. to drive up and receive your box. The food boxes will be available while supplies last.

The Coronavirus pandemic has affected so many in East Texas. The East Texas Food Bank can provide assistance to those affected. Just go to easttexasfoodbank.org to apply for assistance.
