What Happened the Night of the Incident
Guetter admitted to law enforcement that on April 2 she had been drinking and later in the evening she was in the driveway of her home driving what was described as a ‘souped-up’ golf cart when she hit Kaping going approximately 15 mph.
Guetter said that after Kaping was hit by the golf cart that he “hydroplaned” and landed near some large rocks. She says that Kaping told her not to call for help but instead the pair just started arguing with each other. It’s reported that Kaping then walked a short distance and lay on the ground.

What Investigators Say Happened
That is when Guetter went inside, leaving Kaping on the driveway all night. When she attempted to check on him, she found him unresponsive. Guetter was arrested and charged with endangering an elderly person on April 9, and she bonded out the next day.
Guetter reported to law enforcement that the brakes on her golf cart were not working properly. Investigators determined the brakes did in fact work properly.
Evidence Found During the Investigation
On April 16 the Wood County Sheriff’s Office searched Guetter’s home and found a handwritten note that said, “Why let him be there? Why not shoot him?”
There was a previous domestic disturbance between Guetter and Kaping which resulted in Guetter being arrested for attacking Kaping.
Guetter was arrested again and is now being held on a $1 million bond.
