Karnack I.S.D. is looking for your donations to help the flood victims in the Caddo Lake and Harrison county areas.

According to the Longview News Journal, Superintendent Amy Dickson posted on social media about gathering donations for flood victims. Since then, donations have been steadily coming in.

Dickson said, "We have 10 families just at Karnack I.S.D. that have been affected by the flooding at Caddo Lake. Some of these families are students, and some are staff."

You can donate items such as clothes and toiletry items but gift cards are also welcome. Gift cards to places such as Lowe's are a big help because victims can use those to buy items to help with repairs.

Dickson added, "We are also partnering with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office and
the Red Cross to store recovered boats and canoes at our Texas 134 elementary campus. People can go there to I.D. their property and pick it up."

Residents in Harrison and Marion can apply for government assistance contacting FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 or at FEMA.org.
