While I don’t own as many guns as I might want, I am a proud gun owner in the state of Texas. There are many people that own guns here and do it the right way, they properly handle their guns. They go to the range to stay up on their shooting skills. Everyone has their own reason as to why they want to own a gun or not, but there are some weapons including some firearms that are absolutely illegal to own or possess in the state of Texas. 

We have all seen some really awesome movies or television shows where the main characters are using some incredible weapons to battle the bad guys, but some of those weapons are just for acting purposes and you’re not allowed to possess them. Illegally Possessing These Weapons Could Mean Serious Trouble 

Whether you mean to or not, if you are in possession of an illegal weapon you could be in serious trouble. According to TxCrimeDefense, having illegal weapons could get you a third-degree felony which means 2 to 10 years in prison and/or up to a $10,000 fine. 

Be Careful Who You Give or Sell Weapons To 

If you give or sell a weapon to someone who isn’t allowed to own or possess one, that could mean you could be facing a Class A misdemeanor. Just be very careful with who you sell or trade weapons with, make sure you are going everything legally.
