We have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of the opening act for Friday night's Alan Jackson concert at the Oil Palace. On Tuesday, Amy Austin came to me and told me a young, up-and-coming artist with East Texas roots would be opening on Friday night. She told me to look him up and I would immediately just fall in love.

With his Beiber-licious hair, adorably good looks and charm, and his John Mayer-Keith Urban-Pat Green country twang, she was pretty darn close. And while Hudson Moore may not be a household name, he should be. And after Friday night, he will be.

"I can't believe I'm opening for THE Alan Jackson, it's unreal," Hudson told me Thursday. The 21-year-old Ft. Worth native and University of Texas student has seen his career start to take off in a short amount of time. In less than one year, his band has played historic venues such as Billy Bobs, SXSW, and Austin City Limits Festival. Hudson has also been linked to some big names- opening for stars such as Pat Green, Lee DeWyze, Third Eye Blind, Stoney LaRue, and now the legendary Alan Jackson.

Hudson will also be playing in East Texas for the first time, which is exciting for him and his family since his father and grandparents hail from Tyler. His grandmother even came up to the station not too long ago promoting her grandson (insert collective "AWHH" here). She was promoting his debut album "Fireworks" which was released in early 2011. I can tell you that you are going to love this album, so you can go ahead and buy it by clicking here.

We here at KNUE are very excited to present this incredible talent at the Oil Palace on Friday night. Keep an eye on him folks, this kid is going places. Check out his video for "Life's Lullaby" which happens to be one of my favorites. You can also check out all of his music on his Myspace page. To get more info on Hudson, his band, and anything else your heart desires- you can check out his Facebook page, or his website.

Here's "Life's Lullaby"- enjoy!
