Sometime after Santa dropped off all the presents on Christmas Eve and before the ball could be dropped in New York City or the Moonpie could be dropped in Mobile, AL or any other thing being dropped before the clock struck midnight on January 1st, some individuals had a run in with Gregg County law enforcement.

While you might think that criminal activity may take a break during the holidays, it does not. Gregg County law enforcement made numerous arrests during the week between the two major holidays. Many of them were for misdemeanor drugs and many for driving under the influence, which is still a major problem not only in Gregg County but throughout East Texas and Texas as a whole. While many people had to have known they weren't sober enough to drive, they went ahead and did it anyway placing themselves and everyone else on the road at risk.

Now these folks could be facing some severe legal consequences for making that bad judgment call to get behind the wheel instead of calling a ride-sharing service or cab.

It wasn't only drunk driving and being caught with illegal drugs that some people caught a felony charge for, there were felonies issued for:

  • stalking
  • impersonating a public servant
  • aggravated assault
  • possession of child pornography

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Gregg County Jail and received at least one felony charge. These individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
