We are one week away from one of the biggest parties this spring, the 12th annual Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival! The big event is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, and will feature Texas pitmasters from around the state smoking their meats for you to sample, along with Red Dirt music on stage all afternoon and evening long.

The 14th Annual Dirty Dog Wash will be held at Peltier Subaru. Bring your furry friends for a free dog wash, and for every pup cleaned, Subaru will donate $25 to Pets Fur People. It's a fun, community-friendly event for a great cause, so come out, get your dogs squeaky clean, and help us make a difference!

 

6th Annual Remembrance Run Benefitting The Children's Park of Tyler

The race seeks to give the community a way to honor those who have been lost. Run in memory of a family member, friend, or someone you may not even know but wish to recognize. Runners can carry their loved one’s picture or share a legacy memorial sign along the route with the community. Proceeds ensure The Children’s Park continues offering free bereavement care for families mourning the death of a child.

You're invited to join the run for a meaningful morning of remembrance and community. This year’s event includes a 5K run, a 1-mile walk, and a Kids Dash, offering meaningful ways for all ages to participate together. There is a registration fee to participate in the event.

5th annual David Eads Memorial 5k Run/Walk

Everyone and their families are welcome to come out and join the UT EMS/AIR 1 family as we run/walk in honor of UT EMS Parademic David Eads.

 

First Saturday Hike at Tyler State Park

This is a group-led hike and not organized by a specific person. As a group, we'll decide which trail(s) to hike. Trails vary from easy to moderate in difficulty, with lengths from 2 miles up to 6 miles. It is suggested that you arrive at the park no later than 8:45 to allow time to go through the gates, register, and pay. Make sure you bring plenty of water. Dogs, on leash, are welcome. Please always clean up after your pets.

This is a free event to participate in, but admission to the state park is required.
