50 Cent Is Coming To Shreveport To Launch His Highly Anticipated G-Unit Studio.

After many months of planning, the mogul is coming to the city and they are rolling out the red carpet for him this week as G-Unit Film and Television prepares to open up for business.

A ceremonial news conference will be held Thursday (April 18) at 4 p.m. at Government Plaza.

Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux revealed that he’ll have some surprises for the rapper and business mogul when he arrives in town for the big event. In the meantime, 50 has been all over social media spreading the word and inviting some of his entertainment connects to bring their business down to the area.


The rapper celebrated the approval of a lease to take over a tv and movie studio in a series of post on Instagram.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson secured unanimous city council approval to establish a G-Unit Films and Television studio in Shreveport in 2023. It was last hurdle needed for Jackson to move forward.

50's G-Unit Films Signed An Agreement To Move Into Shreveport's Millennium Studios.

According to KSLA, Shreveport City Council members agreed Tuesday, Nov. 14 to introduce legislation authorizing the lease of Millennium Movie Studio to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, LLC.

G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, llc. plans to use the city-owned property, located at 300 Douglas St., to operate a production studio and/or activities and uses related to the promotion or development of the film, sound, light, movie, television, broadcasting, recording, and arts industries.

The Economic Impact Of This Deal Could Be Far Reaching.

The report went on to add that 50's company would also take on the repairs and maintenance of the facility which comes out to about 6 figures annually. And that's one of the reasons 50 got a SWEET LEASE on this place.

The lease will be for $2,400 per year for 30 years, with an option to renew for an additional 15 years.
