VIDEO: Brinks Security Guard Robbed of Cash and Pants in Brazen Texas ATM Heist
A brazen ATM robbery was caught on camera last week and now police are searching for the suspect.
Irving, Texas police say a gunman robbed a Brinks Security Guard and then forced the guard to remove his gun belt and pants while he was being held at gun point. According to NBC in Dallas, the suspect was able to steal a "large sum of money".
Eden Soto Alva was the citizen who caught the robbery on camera. According to NBC, Soto Alva was leaving the bank when he saw two guys on the ground.
"When I was leaving the bank, I saw these two guys on the ground," said Eden Soto Alva. "I didn't think much of it but when I saw the gun I thought: Oh man, this is something."
The video below shows just how frantic and worried the security guard was. The suspect aims his gun at the guard who is frantically trying to take off his gun belt and pants. Eventually the suspect starts pulling at the pants ripping them off along with the guards shoes.
Soto Alva told WFAA the victim could be heard yelling "don't shoot me".
According to NBC, police believe the suspect followed the Brinks truck from an earlier stop. The video has gone viral on X (formally Twitter)
