Kemp native, Kadie Lynn, captured ours, and America's, attention with her great singing. The judges, Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandell were always very impressed.

So was America, as the votes moved Kadie into the semi-finals of America's Got Talent.

Last night, she performed another East Texan's huge hit, Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" for a shot at the finals. Watch below.

The singing portion of this year's America's Got Talent was extremely tough and, unfortunately, Kadie did not receive enough votes to move on.

Simon Cowell gave some high praise for Kadie and said, "...can walk away from this with your heads held high." He continued, "Just keep doing what you're doing..."

Kadie, we are proud of you. You have laid the foundation for a successful career.
