KNUE + St. Jude ‘Country Cares’ Radiothon is Thursday and Friday

Since 1996, KNUE has been involved with St. Jude 'Country Cares,' a radiothon that involves country radio stations across the United States. The "Country Cares' radiothon was started with Randy Owen from the group Alabama in the late '80's and is the most successful radio fundraiser in America.The goal, of course, to raise as much money as we can for the kids of St. Jude Children's Hospital. The kids who go to St. Jude, suffer from childhood cancers, and St. Jude is their hope for a cure.

St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made at St. Jude have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly.

So that means that even here in East Texas, St. Jude research is shared with our hospitals and clinics, too. Many children from East Texas have been patients of St. Jude, so your support is so important.
