While this didn't happen in Texas, the act of vandalism occurred where our neighbors reside in Arkansas.

According to National Public Radio, it took less than 24 hours before someone intentionally destroyed the 6,000-pound Ten Commandments monument that was installed outside of the Arkansas State Capitol.

To authorities, this act of vandalism was intentional. The suspect, Michael Reed, who was later arrested on multiple charges including criminal mischief in the first degree, actually live streamed himself driving into the 6-foot granite slab. He also yelled, "Freedom" before hitting the gas pedal. This was on Wednesday just before 5 a.m.

He's had some practice. In 2014, Reed was apparently arrested for intentionally ramming his vehicle into a Ten Commandments monument in Oklahoma [The Oklahoman]. According to the news story, Reed claimed he was bipolar and Satan ordered him to do it.

Reed later apologized in an open letter in the local newspaper, saying "he wish he could take it back."

Back to today, police in Little Rock have yet to determine a motive. Reed was cooperative during his arrest.
