The 10 dollar bill is being redesigned, and will feature a woman on the front this time. And the new bills will be printed right here in Texas.

The U.S. Treasury Department announced they're re-vamping the $10 bill this year as part of a routine, periodic redesign that helps to ward off counterfeiters.

Alexander Hamilton won't be on the next generation of bills, and instead it will be a woman.

It has to be someone significant to US History, someone who shows the values of democracy, and that person has to be deceased. So we can count out Cher, Stevie Nicks and Miley Cyrus.

Dallas-Fort Worth TV station says the Bureau of Printing and Engraving in Fort Worth printed 627 million $10 bills in the last fiscal year. That facility will be printing the new Tens, but it will be about five years before we have them in our hands.

The redesign isn't scheduled to be finished until 2020.

Among the women Rolling Stone says should be on the new bills: Harriet Tubman, Eleanor Roosevelt, and the first black woman elected to Congress, Shirley Chisholm.

What do you think? Or maybe the better question is, do you still carry cash?
