New Nike Ad Trolls Patrick Mahomes After Super Bowl Loss
Here in Texas, we love The Dallas Cowboys, Patrick Mahomes, and Luka Doncic. We're not sure where our feelings on the Dallas Mavericks stand at the moment, you'll have to check back in on that later.
Yes, we see you, CJ Stroud and Houston Texans, but we're going to be honest here. With the Dallas Cowboys seemingly slipping further and further from Super Bowl contention, a lot of us are now rooting for The Chiefs, we love Patrick Mahomes. Even if the rest of the country seems hellbent on turning him and the Kansas City Swifties into the villains of this story.
So, we're not sure how we feel about this. Is Nike, one of the most recognizable brands in the world, trolling Patrick Mahomes? Our native son? Would they be so dumb as to fan the flames of competition that burn in the belly of Patrick as flippantly as this? It looks like it.
Nike has taken trolling to NUCLEAR levels with a new ad celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles' championship win. The new ad is set to the Muppet song "It's Not Easy Bein' Green" and it's sung by Kermit The Frog.
We are all well aware that Patrick Mahomes is regularly trolled by the haters for sounding like Kermit. Patrick is endorsed by Adidas a Nike competitor.
It appears that Nike has just given Mahomes and The Chiefs the bulletin board material they need just days after losing to The Eagles. Nike must really hate all of the other NFL teams.
What do you think? Is this a stab at Mahomes or just a coincidence? In the caption, Nike wrote, "It's Good to be Green."
