An arrest has been made in Hood County in connection with a car / motorcycle crash that occurred near Grandbury, Texas on Saturday.

CBS 11 in Dallas reports that 68-year-old William Crum has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

On Saturday, Crum’s car swerved and struck a motorcycle on Tin Top Road just north of Granbury. Eric Sanders and his girlfriend and passenger Debra Simpson were thrown from the bike. Simpson was moved from the ICU at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth on Monday.

Another man on a motorcycle capture the incident on camera. Video of the actual crash and the interaction with Crum can be seen below.

Sanders insists that Crum swerved to hit them on purpose, but Crum says that an insect bit him in the groin area causing him to jerk the wheel and swerve into the other lane.

Police say that Sanders has now been cited for passing in a no-passing zone and driving with an invalid license.
