Oldest Living Cat is in Texas

Born March 26, 1986, Scooter, a Siamese cat, has been confirmed by the Guinness World Records as the oldest living cat in the world.

His owner, Gail Floyd, has cared for him since day one.

Gail told guinnessworldrecords.com that Scooter played in her hair as a kitten and would ride on her shoulder. He has traveled to 45 of the 50 states.

Gail believes that keeping Scooter active has contributed to his age.

Scooter is not the oldest cat ever, though. That record belongs to another Texas cat, Creme Puff from Austin, who was 38 years old.
